Gentle · Non-invasive
What is reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that began in Japan. You simply lie back, fully clothed, while Kim works through gentle hand positions — lightly placed or hovering just above the body.
There is nothing to do and nothing to get right. Some people drift into a dreamlike, restful state; others simply enjoy an hour of stillness — everyone experiences Reiki a little differently.
Why people come
When everything feels noisy, an hour with nowhere else to be can be a welcome reset.
No screens. No demands. No need to perform or explain yourself.
Many people simply enjoy Reiki as an opportunity to become still, switch off and rest.
An hour dedicated entirely to you.
Your visit
A warm welcome, a cosy couch and a soft blanket. You stay fully clothed — just kick off your shoes.
For around an hour, there's nothing you need to do. Simply get comfortable while Kim works through a series of gentle hand positions.
When the session ends, there's no rush. Take a moment, have a chat with Kim and head back into the world when you're ready.

Meet your practitioner
I created The Reiki Room as a soft place to land — a little pocket of calm on Albrighton High Street where you can put everything down for an hour and let your body remember how to rest.
Whether you’re carrying stress, poor sleep or simply a full-to-bursting life, you’ll be met with warmth, zero judgement and a very cosy blanket.

Rooted in tradition
Reiki · 霊気 · commonly translated as “universal life energy”
Usui Reiki originated in Japan and was developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. Its gentle practice uses hands-on or hands-above-the-body techniques, traditionally intended to support relaxation, balance and wellbeing.
